Did Shriner Magic fix the forecast in Myrtle Beach this week?

Weird and Wacky-

(MYRTLE BEACH) This week marks the 51st annual Shrine week here in Myrtle Beach and new arrivals were met with a tropical cyclone and a week worth of rain in the forecast.  So, what happened?

Literally overnight the forecast was nothing but sunshine and cool temperatures!  Is the arrival of our mystical friends of Shriners International and the South Atlantic Shrine Association to thank?  Formerly the Ancient Arab Order of Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, the Shriners are a fraternal organization that has roots in mysticism and ancient ritual.  Could these mystics arriving in our fair beach town have parted the clouds to manifest the PERFECT fall week?

Last year a tropical system hit myrtle beach the DAY BEFORE the parade, but by morning it was sunny and beautiful!  Coincidence?  Who schedules an annual PARADE in hurricane season in Myrtle Beach drawing in thousands from all over the region with FULL CONFIDENCE in the parade occurring?  Unless you can MAKE the weather comply?

The Mayor will be welcoming the keepers of the Mystic Shrine at 1pm Friday, officially.  Will the serene weather they will experience be a product of SHRINE MAGIC?  Here at Retro Myrtle Beach Guy, we ask the HARD questions other outlets are afraid to ask, and we are the ONLY news outlet in MYrtle Beach covering this WEIRD and MYSTICAL story!

Be sure to catch the Shriner parade this saturday at 9a between 17th and 29th ave S Ocean Boulevard and stay tuned to Retro Myrtle Beach Guy and retromyrtlebeachguy.com for all the BIZARRE events of Shrine Week 2024!
