Our Story
Originally from Baltimore Maryland, Retro has lived in nearly every major city in America. From DC, to New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, and visiting many other cities along the way, our hero Retro finally settled down in Myrtle Beach South Carolina, his childhood vacation spot.
Working with local businesses and chains he spent the first decade in Myrtle Beach making content for other people, catapulting them into a national spotlight. After dedicating years to advancing the businesses and careers of others, Retro decided to concentrate his efforts on promoting the entire town and it's hard working, community oriented population.
He met his wife Kat, a disabled educator, on the internet through mutual friends and after just ONE visit to Myrtle Beach, her mind was made up!
She moved down three months later, and shortly after they were engaged in the most serene of locations by a fountain in the gardens at Brookgreen.
A year later they married at the historic 100 year old Peanut Warehouse of nearby Conway in front of their friends and family.
just three months after that, the happy couple was expecting their son James.
Then the scariest moment of their lives, Kat went into labor three months early. After being rushed to the hospital, Kat quickly had an emergency c-section and their son was rushed to Florence and the NICU for life saving assistance.
Little James was a trooper though, and he grew and grew coming home weeks before his due date in perfectly good health. A year later and little Jimmy is as strong as an ox and in perfect health.
Retro spends his days now watching after little Jimmy and his family while exploring the Grand Strand and sharing his adventures with you!
Kat teaches kids online and is beginning to go into children's edutainment too!
The Retro family truly encompasses everything Myrtle Beach is about, family, community, and protecting the future while preserving the past!
