Known for his passion for preserving Myrtle Beach's rich history and traditions, Retro is stepping up to defend the legacy of both Sun and Fun in the Grand Strand.

Last week, Myrtle Beach was abuzz with the tantalizing aromas and vibrant energy of The Great Food Truck Race. This popular Food Network reality show, hosted by the charismatic chef Tyler Florence, made a stop in the Grand Strand as part of its latest season. The show pits nine food truck teams against each other in a high-stakes competition, challenging them to create mouthwatering dishes while navigating the challenges of running a mobile kitchen. Each week, teams travel to a new city, vying to win over local food lovers and avoid elimination.

The 36th Annual Run to the Sun Car and Truck Show, held from March 13-15, 2025, at the Old Myrtle Square Mall in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, was a spectacular event that drew thousands of car enthusiasts from across the country2. This three-day extravaganza,  showcases over 3,500 pre-1989 cars and trucks, making it the largest independent classic car show on the East Coast.
